Preparing for Plumbing Rough-In
Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009After pouring the protection slab yesterday, we’re now getting ready for the plumbing rough-in.
The depressions in the slab are so the drains from the west and north sides of the basement can get to the reservoir for the sewage ejector. These pipes, once set in place, will then be covered with concrete under the 14 inch structural slab.
At the same time as the plumbing rough-in, the remaining insulation on the west side must be put in place. Of course, the waterproofing will go over the wooden forms on the north and south walls, and over insulation and east wall.
We have one eye on the weather now – there are thundershowers forecasted for Thursday and Friday, with light showers on Saturday. We do need the rain in Northern California.
