Parking in the Driveway
It is satisfying that we have finally reclaimed the real estate at the front of the house and can [almost] park in the driveway. Yeah!
Compaction Testing by HP Inspections
We had HP Inspections perform four compaction tests this morning. These tests were of the soils that were distributed and compacted on Saturday. The test results were all over 90% with one test over 95%. Excellent!
Six Truckloads of Dirt Delivered, Distributed and Compacted
The O’Briens delivered six truckloads of dirt to our site before noon today. The dirt was distributed in eight inch lifts at the front of the house and compacted to more than 90 percent compaction with a jumping jack and then a vibra-plate compactor.
It will be great to have much more real estate at the front of the property. This will reduce the dangerous nature of an open excavation and allow us to stage materials and even park vehicles on site.

More backfill soil is required at the west side of the excavation at the front of the house. We should fill this void when we excavate for the cistern.
