Threatening Weather Forecast
It poured this morning.
Poor Weather Ahead
With our shotcrete scheduled for Wednesday morning, everyone was a bit nervous as the probability of rain is very high. We received a fair amount of rain this morning so our project site is now wet.
Our initial plan was to do the shotcrete over two days. Dees-Hennessy came back and said it could be done in a day. That could be extremely challenging in the rain.

Penetrations through the waterproofing on the north wall of the West Mechanical Room (for the ground loop for the geothermal and for the swimming pool heat exchange).
Thien Doan from Duquette Engineering came by to inspect the reinforcing steel (rebar). It was placed as per their design so their issued their letter of compliance.
Plan Sheet Hangers
We have been getting tired of having multiple sets of architectural and structural drawings strewn around the temporary site office and our rental house so we’ve been looking for a solution. The latest idea was to order a rack and hangers from ‘The Big Blueprint Hanger’. Our order arrived today. Finally.
Within minutes, the rack was assembled and the hangers in place. This cleaned up the desk in our temporary site office dramatically.
Very cool.
Shotcrete Tomorrow?
Everyone is hoping the weather cooperates with us tomorrow.
